Our Services: State of the Art Technology & Equipment
Valley View Medical Center is equipped with the latest in medical equipment and information technologies. Here are just some of the ways Valley View is delivering 21st century healthcare:
New 4D Ultrasound System—This revolution in prenatal care provides clear, moving three-dimensional pictures so expectant mothers can see their baby in real time.
Picture Archival Communication (PAC) system—Provides our physicians with instant access, storage, retrieval and display of high quality digital radiographic images.
Wireless Charting— Equipped with laptop computers, our nursing staff can enter, review and change patient information right at the patient’s bedside, so they spend less time doing paperwork and more time doing what they do best: taking care of patients.
1.5 Telsa Magnet MRI—Provides an unparalleled view inside the human body, with an extraordinary level of detail and precision. It has quick turn-arounds for patients and physicians, usually within 24 hours. Valley View's MRI has a high definition propeller head. Its dedicated breast coil allows both breasts to be screened at the same time, and is indicated for high risk patients with dense breasts. An array of different coils for musculoskeletal MRIs includes ankles, knees, shoulders and wrists.
16-Slice CT-Scan—This new scanner takes 16 pictures, or slices, of the body per revolution, up to four times the number taken by other scanners, giving our extremely physicians extremely detailed images to help then identify diseases and conditions not visible with conventional CT units.
PET-CT (positron emission tomography - computed tomography) is used for a wide range of medical diagnoses, including cancer detection and oncology, Alzheimer’s Disease detection and a variety of surgery planning. Valley View’s PET-CT is available for both inpatient and outpatient screenings and was the first permanent PET-CT in western Mohave County.
